King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima visit Lilbosch Abbey

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima will visit the municipalities of Maasgouw, Echt-Susteren, Roerdalen, and Roermond on Tuesday 19 May. According to the website of the province of Limburg, various themes will be addressed during this visit. For example, cross-border cooperation, the liveability of both villages and cities, the importance of associations and cultural heritage, economic developments in the region, and the functioning of democracy will be discussed.

Lilbosch Abbey

During their visit to the municipality of Echt-Susteren, the Royal Couple will also visit Lilbosch Abbey. The King and Queen will be accompanied by Emile Roemer, King's Commissioner in Limburg, and Mayor Jos Hessels. At the abbey, they will speak with the monks and visit the Livar monastery farm, where some of our pigs are raised.
