Livar will of course continue to exist as a trusted brand and pork concept

Until now, our company name has always been the same as the brand name of our unique pork concept. To better protect the Livar brand, Livar B.V. will operate under the name Meat Limburg B.V. – Buitengewoon vlees with immediate effect.
It solely concerns a change of company name. The well-known pork concept Livar – Limburgs Kloostervarken (Limburg Monastery Pig) will remain unchanged and will become the flagship of Meat Limburg.
The new company name has the additional advantage that Meat Limburg will also be able to develop other meat concepts in the future for specific target groups, distribution channels and market segments. In addition, the name provides scope to expand the product range in due course with other types of meat, such as beef and chicken.
Naturally, new meat concepts and other types of meat cannot be marketed under the Livar name. With Meat Limburg, the company therefore gets an overarching name under which various brands and concepts can maintain their own position and identity.
Livar's recognisable identity will of course be preserved
Livar, the Limburg Monastery Pig, is distinguished by its meat quality and characteristic flavour. These are achieved through the combination of a unique cross-breed of pigs, special feed consisting of regionally grown grain and the way in which the pigs are kept.
The Livar pigs are kept according to the criteria of the Dutch Animal Protection Society's three-star 'Better Life' quality mark (Beter Leven Keurmerk). Livar will continue to exist as an independent brand and pork concept, retaining its familiar name, identity and positioning.
Trusted collaboration for clients and partners
For customers, suppliers and other chain partners, nothing will change in our daily collaboration. Contact persons, brands, products and existing agreements will remain in place.
