Livar Witte Goud: Dutch tastiest asparagus beer of 2025
We are proud to announce that our special white beer, Livar Witte Goud, has been named Best Dutch Asparagus Beer of 2025. In cooperation with local brewery Kameraod Brewers this beer was created. This prestigious recognition underlines the unique quality and character of the beer, which was specially developed to pair perfectly with Limburg's culinary heritage: White asparagus with cooked Livar ham.
Livar Witte Goud owes its subtly fresh taste to the use of wheat malt, barley malt, specially selected hops and a complementing blend of herbs to go with the white asparagus. In addition, the use of oats gives the beer a nice full mouthfeel.
During 9th edition of the Election Best Asparagus Beer, where breweries from home and abroad have their entries judged by a professional panel of zythologists, Livar white gold came out unanimously as the winner.
Livar Witte Goud is available from now on at selected catering outlets and butchers across the country. Perfect to accompany a classic asparagus dish - or simply as a special seasonal beer.
